Thank you for inviting us to the Rainbow Party 29-Jun

Some children are as young as two and the transition from home to school can be a difficult adjustment. But with support and understanding and Mums' help too it won't be long before our youngest recruits start to feel at home and are taking it all in their stride.

Ready for the New School Year 07-Jun
Unlike most educational establishments in Goa Mango House closes for just two weeks during the long school holidays. Far from being a time of rest Mango House has been a hive of activity making sure school bags and uniforms are ready for the new school year. It might sound easy but children come from several different schools, each with a different uniform, and every uniform is made to measure. All is however ready and we have a busy and exciting programme this week as children attend daily to be presented with school bags and uniforms – two small things that can make all the difference.

The children have spent some enjoyable afternoons at the House participating in craft activities, traditional activities and lots of games of cricket!

Banghra Fever at The Big Apple Ball 03-May
We were very privileged to be chosen to be one of the charities benefitting from the Apple Ball which took place at the Glasgow Hilton on 3rd May. The ball takes place each year thanks to Sanjay Majhu, CEO of Apple Harlequin Group, and his wife Jiggy.
This year the event the theme was Banghra Fever and in keeping with the theme there were amazing performances from The Limited Edition Crew and The Punjab Dancers. Funds were raised by selling roses, a grand raffle, a silent auction and an amazing grand auction which took place after a fabulous Indian dinner. Once the formalities were complete the dance floor was packed as everyone danced away to a Robbie, Kylie and Michael Jackson tribute band. It was an fabulous night and we say a huge thank you to Sanjay and Jiggy for choosing to help Mango Tree Goa, to Alison a wonderful friend to Mango Tree and without whom we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to be selected for the event and to the people of Glasgow who attended the Ball and made it a wonderful event.
Chimbel End of School Year Photos 30-Apr
As the first school year at Chimbel drew to a close it was decided to mark the occasion with some formal photos of all those attending. From three tiny rooms over 150 children are supported Monday through Friday with either pre-primary schooling or tuition classes which help children with their school work. It's a simple project that makes all the difference to the children being supported. As you can see one little girl found the idea of a serious photo just too funny!..... View Gallery
